For New Years Eve we went up to Crianlarich in the Scottish Highlands
to celebrate Hogmanay. We stayed at a very nice guest house called the
Lodge House. A good time was had by all, and we woke to SNOW on New Years Day.

and some other folks doing a ceilidh dance - Gay Gordons, I think.
We tried, but as it wasn't called, we hadn't a clue, and dropped
out in about 10 seconds flat :)

Getting closer to new years, and many people are having just too
much fun. The lady facing the camera was one of the pair of non-American
guests at the lodge - I think her name was Judy or something similar.

No, that's not some alien spider about to attach the guy in the
kilt. At just the exact right moment, minutes after Midnight,
someone pulled the string on a popper.

The Lodge
House. We enjoyed this place a lot - on the edge of Crianlairch,
very quiet, comfortable room and very, very good food.

More. Minutes later, I was engulfed in a near-blizzard, and the
mountains completely vanished.
