The Tambo II, a concrete ship built to commemorate all the ships that beached or crashed on the Hokitika sandbar. At one point, Hokitika was averaging a wreck every three weeks. If the ship was not damaged, it was winched back to sea, this was called, "making the overland journey".

Franz Josef Glacier. Again, the water is chalky with rock flour from the glacier. It also radiates cold like an open freezer, and there are chunks of ice in the water as well.
