falconsjul05_0002.jpg 23.51 KB A horribly blurred photo of the Harris Hawk catching the lure, but it was such perfect timing I included it anyway.

falconsjul05_0007.jpg 106.10 KB I find this photo somewhat humorous, though it's actually catching the moment just before the falconer swaps a morsel of food for the 'rabbit' the hawk has just brought down.

falconsjul05_0008.jpg 37.38 KB The falconers were quite mystified as to why this little owl refused to fly, she hadn't done that in the three years they had her. She seemed to be off in her 'own private Idaho' until a bit later, when the two buzzards she's looking at now, finally circled close enough for human eyes. I've got pretty sharp eyes myself, and figured she was looking at *something* here, but could not see anything at all.

falconsjul05_0009.jpg 31.22 KB The next demonstration was of flying two falcons at the same time. Any actual pictures I got were purest luck, as these little birds are blazing fast.

falconsjul05_0010.jpg 51.25 KB I finally got smart and turned on continuous mode, which allowed me to capture this shot, and the next.
