Rain Rain Rain! (woohee!)
Woke up this morning to the sound of rain on a cold tin roof. What a wonderful noise here in the Outback!
It stopped soon though, so we headed into town on foot for the Sunday Markets. Then it started to rain again, and all the stall-owners bailed. Bummer.
But I did get my Driza-bone vest, and some Aboriginal artwork - bullroarer and a boomerang. Touristy stuff, but I do like the dot art using modern colors.
Apparently, when it rains in the Outback, everyone goes shopping. Both Coles and K-Mart were mobbed.
It's raining steadily now, and has been for a while. Keeps this up, the river will flow again, always a good thing.
